The Secretariat is a permanent body of the Belarusian People's Congress. It supports the operation of the Congress in line with the Temporary Regulations on the Secretariat of the Belarusian People's Congress, that were approved by Presidential Decree No. 56 as of 16 February 2024.
The Secretariat is guided by the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus and other legislative acts, the Regulations of the Belarusian People's Congress, as well as decisions of the Congress, resolutions of its Presidium, orders of the Chairman of the Belarusian People's Congress.
The Secretariat of the Belarusian People's Congress is chaired by the Head of the Secretariat.
After the expiration of the Congress’ term, the Secretariat continues its work.
